Bavan still carries the shield. The lion on it is in better condition than he is.

He is the only armed figure in the court and Medusa gave him the busiest surface to go with it. Mail coif with a browband, a hooded cloak thrown back over one shoulder, a spiked morningstar head hanging low in his right fist, and on his left arm a heater shield carrying a lion mask ringed by a radiating mane. The face inside the coif is gaunt and bearded and looking slightly down, the way someone looks at a man who has already lost. Everything above the knees is armour and heraldry, and then the tabard gives out into vapour like the rest of them.

A Sculpt Where The Shield Is The Model: The lion boss is deeply cut and sits proud of the field, so it takes a wash and a highlight and comes out looking like relief metalwork with almost no effort. That gives you one bold colour spot on an otherwise pale figure, which is exactly what a translucent sculpt needs to stop reading as a blank.
