About Jim Shore

Growing up in rural South Carolina, Jim Shore was the son of artistic parents who instilled a love of American folk-art. With his grandmother being a master quilter, she passed on the skills of patience and attention to details which help with bringing intricate designs to life.

Jim worked for decades developing his craft, manufacturing his own designs and travelling the US to sell his work. Finally in 2001, he partnered with Enesco and created 'Heartwood Creek', the brand that brought Jim world-wide fame and a legion of fans. This lead to the ever popular 'Disney Traditions' range.
